Folk Art Workshop – “Roses and Lace”

The workshop will teach the participants on surface preparation, basecoating.the background and the finishing. It will also teach the participants the technique of creating lace design with little filbert roses. They will gain knowledge of how to use mediums such as flow medium, clear glaze medium and retarder. This painting technique uses liner and stylus extensively. This workshop is only open to participants who had already attended several sessions of workshop before.

Place : Hill City Hotel, Ipoh.

Date : 30th January, 2011

Time : 10.00 am – 4.30 pm

Fee : RM 130 per person + RM30

This price includes the following:

The instructor’s fee & transportation, scallop round board, filbert brush #2, Flow medium and Clear glaze medium.

Tools :

Liner brush

Filbert # 2

Flat brush for basecoating & varnishing

Angle brush # 3/8

Stylus

White transfer paper

Mediums

All-purpose sealer

Gloss varnish, Retarder

Background colour – Black

Flow medium & Clear glaze mediumj

J.S. Palette paints :

Titanium White, Warm White, Plum pink (or Burgundy), Pine green, Yellow light.

Participants should bring their own :

Pen/pencil, notebook, drawing block, apron, rags (old small towel)..

Pattern will be given

Registration condition :

Only those that has purchased the book “Dekorasi Seni Lukis & Decoupage” by Zahir Yusof are allowed to participate. Those that do not have the book can purchase it at the beginning of the workshop.

Only those that has participated in my workshop before are invited

Alhamdulilah....syukur pada Allah swt..kerana akhirnya BENGKEL FOLK ART IV berjaya direalisasikan setelah beberapa kali tertangguh. Kepada semua peserta...ZANA/AZIAH/AINI/RUBY/TUN/HAJJAH SHAMSIAH.......jutaan TERIMA KASIH diucapkan kerana sudi menyertai BFA IV. BFA IV merupakan BENGKEL FOLK ART terakhir bagi tahun 2010. Insyaallah, jika hayat masih ada BENGKEL FOLK ART seterusnya akan menyusul pada 2011. Tidak lupa kepada sifu,
